Adventure

After being at my second bakery internship for about four months, they start to accept me as one of them – in fact, plans are underway to become officially recognized.

A chance meeting gives me the opportunity to work at another bakery, with new bakers, and in a new location.

I recall enjoying working in insurance because I knew what to expect each day. However, I love my time in Germany because each day is full of new, unknown and unexpected adventures.

When learning a foreign language, you are never told that, during your travels, you will unwittingly be the sole representative for your country’s culture, government’s decisions, and viewpoints. I was not prepared for this.

With a quiet first two weeks of the year, the activity picks up steam again as I celebrate my first anniversary in Germany.

So, here I am; where do I go now?

Flying back with the parental units in tow, I plunge headfirst into the excitement.
